Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs to Politico: “I am much more concerned about the unity of the United Kingdom than that of Spain, I believe that the United Kingdom will be divided before Spain”

The Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Joseph Borrell, delivered a polemic about the United Kingdom during an interview with the Politico.eu portal.

Joseph Borrel told Politico.eu as published by the main Spanish newspapers in the links below, the following:

“I am much more concerned about the unity of the United Kingdom than that of Spain, I believe that the United Kingdom will be divided before Spain”

and the Spanish newspaper El Confidencial  add the following:

Asked if his comment denoted Madrid’s strength or London’s fragility, Borrell indicated that:

“it is a clear sign of the weakness of the United Kingdom.”
